Midlands Area CFC recognized nationally in Washington, D.C.

The Midlands Area CFC received an award from the Office of Personnel Management for having the highest percentage dollar increase of campaigns over one million dollars. This increase was 88.5 percent over 2004 contributions of $772,770. The 2005 campaign raised over $1.45 million. The awards ceremony was held in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building at the White House.

Of the 298 campaigns worldwide, the Midlands Area CFC is honored to receive national recognition for our efforts in fundraising for our local, national and international charities. We hope to continue increasing employee participation in this campaign and further serve these organizations, said Gary Vest, 2005 co-chairman of the Midlands Area CFC and area commander of the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Service.
